During the Capital Day Markets 2024 conference, developer Remedy announced that Control has sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide, with the total player count across all platforms exceeding 19 million.
In addition, Remedy revealed plans to release a free update for Control next year. While details remain undisclosed, the update is speculated to tie into Alan Wake 2‘s “Lake House” expansion and potentially Control 2.
As for the highly anticipated Control 2, Remedy shared that it will be an action RPG and is set to enter full production next year. The studio is also working on FBC: Firebreak, a mid-budget standalone co-op spin-off set in the Control universe, which is expected to launch next year as well.
