With less than two months left in 2024, the excitement for 2025 is mounting as numerous major game studios prepare to release top IPs. It looks like 2025 could be one of the most remarkable years for gaming to date. Here, let’s dive into the PC games you can look forward to in 2025!
Civilization 7
Developed by the legendary Firaxis Games team, known for the Civilization and XCOM series, Civilization 7 is a 4X strategy game releasing on February 11, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Switch. The game’s standard, deluxe, and founder’s editions are available for pre-order on Steam for $42, $60, and $78.
Civilization 7 spans three ages: Classical, Exploration, and Modern. Unlike previous games, each Age lasts longer, with more distinct transitions. Players will keep the same leader across the ages but must select a new civilization with each transition, influenced by historical and geographical factors, as well as player choices. Age progression will trigger critical “Era Transitions,” requiring players to make tough decisions about what to preserve within their empire as barbarian threats loom.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Set for release on January 17, 2025, Dynasty Warriors: Origins by Koei Tecmo brings back the core hack-and-slash experience the series is known for, immersing players in chaotic warfare across ancient China. Players will command a new hero in battles against overwhelming enemy forces, coordinating with allies to enjoy the series’ most intense action yet.
Ming’s End: Feather of the Abyss
This Chinese myth-inspired ARPG by Lingze Technology and published by 505 Games is expected in 2025. Based on ancient Shu culture and elements from the Sanxingdui and Jinsha sites, this game follows the amnesiac female warrior “Wuchang” as she faces a mysterious epidemic in Sichuan during the Ming Dynasty. Players will upgrade skills and weapons to overcome bosses and battle both traditional and firearm-equipped foes.
Monster Hunter: Wilderness
Capcom’s Monster Hunter: Wilderness will be released on February 28, 2025, with support for cross-platform multiplayer on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Players take on the role of a hunter in a forbidden zone, accompanied by the Palico companion, and can explore using the new “Cranewing Dragon” mount.

Expected in 2025, GTA VI by Rockstar Games returns with its infamous open-world gameplay, this time set in Leonida State’s crime-ridden Vice City. With dual protagonists, Lucia and Jason, players can switch between the two characters as they experience a story filled with friendship, betrayal, and thrills.
